Nice mathematical places
- In the world there is at least one place you can call mathematical monastery,
namely Oberwolfach .
It is a research center sponsored by
Volkswagen and although it is in the middle in Germany it lies in
compete wilderness and isolation. I recommend you to look a
picture of the library
building of this wonderful place.
- With my friends we have arranged a mathematical happening, namely
KYTKE96 -meeting. It was
a conference for young Finnish mathematicians and physicist - our hope
is that the next generation will also organize KYTKE2000-happening.
Finally, here are some useful www-pages of mathematical
departments where inverse problems and related areas are studied.
I made the list long time ago when I was a graduate student and the
list is very far from complete and contains only small portion
researcher of the field of inverse problems.
So, please don't be surprised if you are not
on the list. A more complete list can be found e.g. from
Inverse Problems
Network.
